- Paolo Cianferoni and his partner Gianna
have been running Caparsa since 1982.
Together they live their lives in
symphony with the environment, Italian
peasant culture, the world of wine and
their family . On August 2005 born
twins (Francesco and Flavio), after three
sons (two boys: Federico, Filippo and a
sweet daughter, Fiamma). A big evolution
to the future!
- Drawing on vines
growing at an altitude of 450 meters (1,476
ft), the Caparsa Wine Estate produces
Chianti Classico "Doccio a Matteo"
from Sangiovese grapes carefully
selected in the vineyard of the same name
and matured in barriques and Chianti
Classico "Caparsino", a traditional wine of
the zone matured in casks and barrels.
- The wines are not
filtered and the estate's production
philosophy emphasizes special respect for
the environment and the use of products
represented to the owner, as part of a
New Deal for Nature.
