Great result of Chianti Classico Riserva 2020 Caparsino for Sarah heller on Cluboenologist:

The Caparsino Riserva made from pure Sangiovese and aged exclusively in 1800-litre oak vats is even more austere than the estate’s Doccia a Matteo. The nose opens with a riveting blend of scorched earth, straw, dried thyme and green olive with smoky clove notes and shy scarlet fruit. It’s a fine reflection of this cool northwest facing Radda slope. It is ferrous to the point of bloodiness on the palate. The relative fluidity on the entry is quickly compressed into a taut spear of acidity and tannin, which finishes extremely narrow and austere, too. However, the tannin loosens on the finish to a remarkable, fine-napped suede texture, adding precision and finesse to the overall impression and presaging long age-ability.
